I do not usually like going to the movie theater, but for this movie I went the first week it was out.  I really like the penguin characters in the Madagascar movies and wanted to see this new one.  I did not expect it to be as good as the first, but I was actually surprised by it.  I actually liked it more than the first.  I especially liked the parts about the New Yorkers in the jungle and the penguins hijacking the tourist vehicles.

I agree, the penguins are probably the funniest thing about this movie.  Have you seen the Christmas special?

I'm looking forward to being able to see the second film, I haven't seen much in terms of trailers - I'm on my way to Apple.com/Trailers straight away.

Yes, I own the Christmas special.  I have also seen the sneak peak episode of the new Penguins of Madagascar series that starts in March 2009 on Nickelodeon.  The Christmas Caper is great, but this show is not quite as good because of the annoying King Julien seeming to play too big of a role.  It would be awesome if he was not in it or just a minor character kind of like in the movies, but at least in the sneak peak he has moved up to a major character.
