I can't wait to see this one. I love Jim Carrey!

Jim stars as Carl Allen (no man) whose life isn't going anywhere.  He signs up for a self-help program and he turns into a Yes-Man.  Saying Yes to everything!

Rated PG-13...  Looks very funny!

Here is more about the movie..

Releases to theaters on December 19th.

I love Jim Carrey too. His movies are always so off the wall I just can not wait until I get the chance to see this one. It seems they have several good shows that are coming to theaters this December here in the US.

This sounds like it could be good, but I am usually disappointed by comedies.  I might catch it eventually on television or DVD, but I highly doubt I will see it in theaters.

Simplyme- I agree... he has played in some off the wall movies. I can only think of a couple I wasn't fond of.  The Cable guy being one of them.

Yes it looks like there are a lot of great movies coming in December.

For some reason, Yes Man feels like Liar, Liar.

Could it be that Carrey needs to change his genre, or start working behind the camera instead of starring in projects?

The trailer for this looks quite good.

Carrey has dug himself into this genre more than anybody else.  I doubt he could ever star in a non-comedic role - but working behind the camera I believe he will end up moulding people into the same frame that he has put upon himself.

Do you think the world can stand another Carrey or a Carrey jr?

Jim Carrey was more novelty than anything else, imho.  I can't imagine others wanting to compete with his earlier work.

I want to like him. Indeed I have liked him in some roles such as "The Truman Show" or "The Eternal.....woteva". But I reckon he mostly overacts. This one looks like another vehicle for face-pulling and prattfalls. More a kiddies or teen film than a thinking man's film.
